Fiat’s merger with Chrysler lead to an opening of markets for each and one of the first models to benefit from this may very well be the Fiat 500.

As with any new car launch there are a few teething problems to sort out, dealer networks, service training and so on. According to a recent press release, the first dealership to be ready to sell the Fiat 500 will be located in Los Angeles.

The dealership in question is Motor Village of Los Angeles and it is scheduled for a reopening sometime in January of 2011. When the corporate-owned dealer returns one of it’s floors will be occupied by the Fiat 500.

The U.S. version of the European supermini will not be different in many ways as opposed to the Fiat 500 you might see on the old continent.

Aside from the Motor Village dealership the Fiat 500 will be available across the states through a network of about 200 dealerships.

The addition of the Fiat 500 is a pretty neat thing in itself but according to Chrysler the Motor Village dealership will offer quite a lot more once it’s reopened. Some of the premieres include a cafeteria for dealership employees, a play room where the kids can be kept at bay from the cars mom and dad may be interested in and a cafe for them as well.
