Sure, fuel prices are rolling high up the list, the economy isn’t at its strongest point ever but who cares, Mercedes is just about to unveil a new AMG spec SUV.
The Mercedes G Class was never really focused fuel efficiency vehicle and the German company’s AMG division never really listed that aspect as high on their list so we can expect this to be quite the treat.
Still uncertain on how big the engine is, the latest spyshots of the Mercedes G Class AMG are giving us more than a clue on how the car will soon look.
The brand new Mercedes G55 or G63 AMG looks almost identical to previous generation with some very few details making it feel like a new car.
On that list of minor changes we’d include some added LED magic, a new set of enormous alloy wheels and a new lower front bumper.
Under the bonnet we aren’t sure if the 6.2 liter naturally aspirated engine is going to be present or if AMG is going to use their more modern twin-turbo 5.5 unit but one thing is certain.
The recently spied Mercedes G Class AMG will be powered by a V8 and it will push out between 525 and 545 horsepower towards all corners of the car via the 4matic all wheel drive system.
