BMW is putting the final pieces on the all-new G30 BMW 5-Series, the model being expected for a full reveal at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, starting on the 29th of September.
But the carmaker decided to teased us a little bit more and released another video which showcases the car`s rear end, with the main highlight on the LED taillights, which is a clear indication that the model will be tweaked with the latest technology.
Things are as clear as they could be. We already know that we are dealing here with a future high-end model, standing on the company`s new CLAR platform, the same one underpinning the latest models, like the 7-Series, meaning lightweight materials – strength steel and carbon fiber – which make it shed off around 100 kg.
That would bring it closer to the all-new 7-Series, meaning increased space inside for passengers and additional storages and a wide array of engines under the hood.
In terms of technology, the 5-Series G30 will also borrow the 7-Series` most advanced gadgetry, like autonomous driving with gesture control, wide touchscreens and so on.
In the engine department, the G30 BMW 5-Series will utilize a wide array of engines, with four- and six-cylinder configurations. For instance, the 2.0-liter flat-four will come as standard, adding the 3.0-liter straight-six diesels and petrol burners. The lineup is also adding a hybrid model as well as a much more potent 4.4-liter V8 turbo.
Stay tuned for updated info on the G30 BMW 5-Series, meanwhile, enjoy the teaser video released by the carmaker!
