Lots of petrol heads out there consider that the SEMA show, taking place at the beginning of November is an auto event destined for prototypes, outstanding concepts or modified cars with different tuning elements that would make them exceptional from the standard models.

That seems to be the opposite of what Chevrolet has announced fresh for SEMA, and that would be the introduction of two models based on the Malibu and Cruze, both being introduced ahead the show.

We are looking here at the Blue Line Concepts, both models being designed for family purposes and other daily routines, and not for the thrill and fun that customers might want from a Chevy. Even so, they come with exceptional features and mechanics as well as good performance under the hood.

The first model from the Chevrolet Blue Line Concepts is the Malibu, and comes with the Genesis White body colour, and a new aero kit, consisting of new front and rear diffuser, black grille insert, rear spoiler, black Chevrolet bow tie emblems, suspension lowering kit, illuminated doorsills, floor liners or sport pedal kit. In the engine department, the Malibu features a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, developing 250 horsepower.

The second model from the Blue Line package is the Cruze RS, this one getting the same Genesis White body treatment with the slate blue 18-inch alloy wheels, adding chrome grille insert, blue tinted windows, performance air intake system and performance exhaust system, performance brake system, suspension lowering kit, and more. Inside, the cabin features instrument panel with satin graphite accents, door inserts, sport pedal kit, illuminated doorsills and trim kit. Under the hood, the model gets the same 2.0-liter engine with 250 km/h.
