Chevrolet releases pricing information on the new Impala sedan in the United States.

Starting at $27,535, the 2014 Chevrolet Impala packs a 2.5-liter four-cylinder unit capable to deliver 195 horsepower and 253Nm of torque, linked to a six-speed automatic transmission. There will be a total of three trim levels, the base LS, the higher-spec LT grade priced from $29,785 and the range-topping LTZ at $34,555.

However, this won’t be the only engine available as the company will provide a 2.4-liter eAssist hybrid version offering 182 horses and a more powerful 3.6-liter V6 unit with 305 horsepower and 358Nm of torque.

The V6 engine will be the first available in the U.S. with prices starting at $30,760 and climbing all the way up to $36,580.

In terms of equipment, the new Impala gets Adaptive Cruise Control, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, MyLink infotainment system, voice recognition and much more.

GM also says that the new model sits on the Epsilon II platform borrowed from the Cadillac XTS sedan.
